Walk into the 1960's and enjoy a long-lost feeling. The Save Money Market has tightly-crammed aisles and shelves that certainly won't let you share the space with too many other shoppers let alone allow two carts to pass one another. I find this somewhat comforting compared to some of the fancy chain grocery stores of today that feature soft mood lighting and even carpeting. I feel like there is so much more to choose from at Save Money Market, though I'm probably tripping, right? Still, I think you'll dig being in there for a short while if for no other reason than to experience a flash from the past.
Take a look at the little office as you enter the store. Only someone with an amazing memory could run a store like this and order so many products. I honor their ability.
Small town store with good prices, friendly staff, and an amazing meat department.
As most reviewers point out, very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. Good selection and price of produce. You will find very little in the way of organic food or meat that isn't factory farmed but this store usually comes through in a pinch.
If you haven't been here, I would definitely give it a try. They have the best meat packages and prices if you like buying one at a time or in in bulk. Hatch green chile season is almost upon us too and they have the freshest straight from Hatch, NM and will roast them for you too.
